Online Gerber Viewer and PDF Converter

A Gerber file contains the artwork and manufacturing information used to fabricate a printed circuit board (PCB). A typical PCB fabrication package contains multiple Gerber layers for copper, solder mask, silkscreen, and board outline, along with an Excellon drill file for the drilled holes. Our Gerber Viewer is a 100% free online tool that lets you open, inspect, measure, and convert PCB Gerber files directly in your browser. No software installation, registration, or subscription is required.

Features

100% Free Gerber Viewer

The ElectronicsDIY Gerber Viewer is 100% free to use. There are no paid plans or subscription requirements for viewing and inspecting Gerber files. It is designed for students, electronics enthusiasts, PCB designers, engineers, and anyone who needs to quickly inspect PCB fabrication files without installing dedicated PCB design software.

No PCB Design Software Required

You don't need to install KiCad, Altium Designer, or other PCB design software just to inspect your Gerber files. Upload your files and view the PCB directly in your web browser.

Useful for PCB Fabrication Checks

The viewer can be useful before sending a PCB design for manufacturing. You can visually check the different layers, inspect the board outline and drill locations, measure dimensions, and verify that the supplied Gerber package contains the expected files.

How to Use the Gerber Viewer

Upload your Gerber files

Upload individual Gerber files or a ZIP file containing your complete PCB fabrication package.

The viewer identifies the available PCB layers and organizes them automatically, including:

  • Top Copper
  • Bottom Copper
  • Top Solder Mask
  • Bottom Solder Mask
  • Top Silkscreen
  • Bottom Silkscreen
  • Board Outline
  • Drill

Turn individual layers on or off to inspect specific parts of your PCB. You can also isolate a single layer when detailed inspection is required.

Change the display colour of individual layers to make different PCB layers easier to distinguish. This is especially useful when viewing multiple copper, mask, silkscreen, and drill layers together.

Zoom into specific areas of the PCB for detailed inspection and pan around the board to examine tracks, pads, vias, and other features.

Use the built-in measurement tool to measure distances between points on the PCB. This can be useful for checking board dimensions, spacing, track locations, and component footprints.

The viewer provides information about the loaded Gerber package, detected layers, board dimensions, units, and file details.

When you have selected the required layers and view, use the Export / Print PDF option to create a PDF for documentation, review, or sharing.
